This project is centered on the joy, culture, and love of disabled people and how we create communities and homes for one another.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We explore the following questions and themes with #CommunityAsHome:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is the power of finding community?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Who are your communities and cultural homes?\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How do you find and sustain community?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What does it mean to belong as a disabled person in society?\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How do you see yourself in relation to the world around you?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is the beauty and joy of finding and being with \u2018your people\u2019?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We welcome people 18 years and older to submit their images and reflections about home and community <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with <\/span><b>these 3 ways.<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Online form: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/dvp.wufoo.com\/forms\/z1rkdp8606lm3te\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/dvp.wufoo.com\/forms\/z1rkdp8606lm3te\/<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Video:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Submit a video answering any of the questions listed above. Send a link (example: YouTube) and any photos in an email to <\/span><a href=\"mailto:DisabilityVisibilityProject@gmail.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DisabilityVisibilityProject@gmail.com<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with your name and \u201cCommunity As Home\u201d in the email subject line. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Audio:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> you can record an audio file a<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">nd attach an audio file (mp3, wav) plus any photos in an <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">email it to <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 1rem;\" href=\"mailto:DisabilityVisibilityProject@gmail.com\">DisabilityVisibilityProject@gmail.com<\/a>. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Include your name and \u201cCommunity As Home\u201d in the email subject line.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You are not required to share a photo if you have <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/disabilityvisibilityproject.com\/about\/terms-of-useprivacy\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">privacy concerns<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. You are welcome to share your story anonymously or share photos of objects that represent community to you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fifteen photo submissions will be selected by artist Ashanti Fortson for digital portraiture which will be available <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ashantifortson.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">on Ashanti&#8217;s website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> this summer. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A #CommunityAsHome Twitter chat will take place in July featuring the digital portraits and quotes and images from the online survey.
